Photographer Jill Enfield works with nitrocellulose — the explosive sibling of gunpowder — to create portraits of immigrants on glass. Enfield and her husband Richard Rabinowitz live in the 1820s Orange Mill gunpowder headquarters in Newburgh, once owned by FDR's uncle. Her family escaped Nazi Germany on the Leica Freedom Train. "It's ironic that we ended up in a gunpowder mill. We've really come full circle."
